Ancient Stratos

The archaeological site of ancient Stratos is located in Agrinio, near the western bank of the river Acheloos. The city, which was one of the largest and best fortified cities of antiquity, awaits you to admire its circular walls and wander through the ruins of the agora. Prepare to be awed by the majestic Doric temple dedicated to Zeus of Stratos, as well as the great ancient theatre, which is also the largest surviving theatre in Aitoloacarnania.
