Roman Conservatory of Patras

The Roman Odeon of Patras is located in the upper town, southwest of the medieval castle. Built in the 2nd century AD it was first discovered in 1889 and restored in the early 1960’s. Its original capacity is estimated to around 2500 spectators. The imposing stage wall rises up to 8 m. in height, incorporating niches where statues once stood. One of the most outstanding auditoria of roman Greece – second only to the Odeon of Herodes Atticus – the Roman Odeon awaits you to host your adventures and also your memories.
