Olive oil – Olives

Olive cultivation has long been a profession and a source of income for producers in western Greece and the country in general. In western Achaea you will find the famous Koutsourelia olives, but also centuries-old olive trees with trunks over 1.5 metres in diameter! In Ilia you will have the opportunity to taste the excellent local virgin olive oil, which is also the least acidic in all of Greece. Plan a visit to the welcoming local olive mills and sample one of the region’s most important agricultural products.
