Kaiafas Lake
Lake Kaiafas was formed in the 6th century AD, most likely by strong earthquakes, and stretches for 3 kilometres in Ilia. The wetland is protected by the Natura 2000 network and is home to a rich flora, while it is also a breeding area for the Caretta Caretta turtles. Enjoy the blue-green “oasis” of the coastal lake of Kaiafas with its thermal waters or have fun water skiing and more, at a lake that is one of the best in the world thanks to its location and the trees that surround it.
